Live Scan & fingerprinting

Live Scan or ink cards: which do I need?

Follow the instructions from whoever asked for your fingerprints. Live Scan captures prints digitally and sends them electronically, and Florida Level 2 screenings through FDLE or AHCA (including healthcare and school jobs) use it. Ink cards are physical cards, such as the FBI's FD-258, that some out-of-state boards still ask for. Right now we offer Live Scan; ink cards are coming soon. If you're unsure, call or text us with your instructions.

What's an ORI number, and where do I find it?

The ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) tells the state which agency should receive your results. It's on the screening instructions from your employer, school district or licensing board, usually alongside a reason code. Bring both to your appointment. If you can't find them, call or text us before your visit and we'll help you track them down. More about ORI numbers

How much does Live Scan cost?

Our service fee is $38 per person. On top of that are the government fees (state, FBI and sometimes a retention fee), which FDLE sets for each ORI. When you enter your ORI while booking, we look up the exact government fee with FDLE and show your estimated total. Mobile visits add a $110 travel fee per visit; group visits are quoted. You pay at the appointment.

What should I bring?

A valid government-issued photo ID, plus any forms or instructions your agency gave you. Bring the ORI number and reason code from your screening instructions. The full Live Scan checklist

How do I track my background check?

After we send your fingerprints to FDLE or AHCA, you'll receive a Transaction Control Number (TCN). Use it to track your submission, and keep it in case your employer or agency asks for it. How to check your TCN status

What if my prints are hard to read?

Dry skin, worn ridges and some jobs (nurses, mechanics, bricklayers) can make prints faint. We take our time, use conditioning techniques, and re-capture until each print is clear before you leave.

Booking & visits

How does booking work?

You request up to three times that work for you and choose our office or a mobile visit. We confirm one of your times (or let you know if none work) by email. Your appointment isn't booked until you get our confirmation. If we can't confirm before your requested time gets close, we'll email you so you're never left guessing.

Can I come to your office, or do you come to me?

Either. Our office is inside the Regus building at 3905 Crescent Park Dr, Riverview, FL 33578, by appointment only, so there's no walk-in service. Or we come to you: homes, offices, events, hospitals, schools and senior communities across our service area. Mobile visits have a $110 travel fee per visit; group visits are quoted.

Can you do a whole group at once?

Yes. Offices, schools and care facilities can book one visit for many people. Put the number of people in your request and we'll plan time for everyone. How group visits work

Do you offer ink cards or notary services?

Both are coming soon. Call or text us if you'd like to know when they start.

How do I pay?

You pay at the appointment; nothing is charged online. If you'd like to check how you can pay, call or text us at (863) 448-6434 before your visit.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Call or text us as soon as you can at (863) 448-6434, and we'll help you pick a new time. The more notice you give, the easier it is for us to offer your time to someone else.

Still unsure? Text us or request a time.
